It's not about how much wealth or fame you accumulate on this earth but the value of it. Everything you earn in this world has value till the death of your life, but it has no eternal value. If you don't have anything that has eternal value, you won't find any meaning with the materials of this world.
Once a rich man died, his friend came to the funeral and asked his other friend how much he left in this world, and the friend replied EVERYTHING.
The Bible says in Matthew 6:19 -21
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
