En francés, la palabra equivalente a “manzana” se ha utilizado para aludir a otros frutos de la tierra, como en el caso de “pomme de terre”, es decir, ‘patata’. De la expresión “pomme d’orange” derivaron nombres en otras lenguas, como el alemán o el checo, mientras que la voz neerlandesa “appelsien” (‘manzana de la China’) acabó teniendo descendientes en ruso y hasta en checheno. Nos acompaña la música de Ginkgo Garden, con sus chinescas resonancias.
