Through the Fire - Why does God "allow" bad things to happen to "good" people?

Sometimes life takes an unexpected turn, it is in those times that we must ensure to be grounded on The Solid Foundation, and that is Christ Jesus our Lord, rather than placing our hopes in the cares and riches and pleasures of life. Some lean on their beauty, others on their skills, some make use of their wealth and power - whatever it is, it is but unstable ground. All can and will fade away, whether now or later it is but a matter of time. I do not write this to discourage you, but to encourage you, to give you life and hope. In all suffering we must recognize and stand firm, understanding the true nature and love of our Father, exposing the enemy, especially during such painful circumstances, and answering the why's of these events. A big thank you to all of my brothers and sisters at Somerset Christian Fellowship Church for inviting me, for our joyfull fellowship, and for all the love you've shown to me.
