Today I have a rich episode detailing Sam’s birth stories for the births of her first two children. We dive into many aspects of traumatic birth in the medical system including: - c section for breech birth in midwifery care - Attempting a vbac with midwives - The reality and statistics of home birth after a cesarean with midwives - Uterine rupture - The long induction process - The assault of « stretch and sweep » - The cascade of interventions - Healing from birth trauma - Dynamics within her marriage after birth trauma Sam went on to have two beautiful homebirths outside of the medical system after these births.
