In this episode, Elin & Christina conclude their conversation with guest Dr. Yee.
Before stepping into education, Dr. Yee served as a Captain in the United States Air Force for nearly five years, excelling as a Chief Meteorologist. His educator path began as a third-grade teacher in Oakland Unified, followed by six years in school site administration.
After a remarkable tenure in K-12, he ventured into post-secondary education, contributing as an assistant professor, department chair, and more. Dr. Yee's dedication extended to the Peralta Community College District, where he held significant roles.
Even retirement couldn't slow him down. He returned to lead OUSD as superintendent for a year and has been an integral part of the Oakland Unified District Board of Education for two decades.
We're honored to have Dr. Yee join us. Stay tuned for an enlightening conversation!
