Prior to Lime, Joe was a general partner at Google Ventures, Alphabet's venture capital arm, for 10 years focused primarily on marketplaces and transportation. Joe has previously also built two companies: Excite (an early internet search engine, founded in 1993, which went public in 1996 and sold in 2000) and JotSpot (started in 2004 and sold to Google in 2006).
