New York-based dancer, model, and movement artist Soyeon "Haze" Kim has been exploring street dance for over 10 years, specializing in waving and animation. Her recent work includes global campaigns with PUMA, Converse, FootAction, and Nike x Nordstrom, and Music Videos for Disclosure, Ambar Lucid and Pink Sweat. She has performed at NYFW, Apollo Theatre, NYPL at Lincoln Center, LayeRhythm and Jamaican Performing Arts Center, as well as competing in international battles for Juste Debout, Versa-Style Anniversary, and Freestyle Session.

Haze joined me on the podcast to talk about what it was like to move to the United States from Korea, how dance differs between the two countries, the way that dance makes her feel powerful and gives her a platform to express her identity as a woman, and how finding the right group of friends helped her grow as a person and a dancer.
