Rebecca Durance Hine is an integrative cancer care advocate and educator, focusing particularly on holistic cancer risk reduction and supporting mental and emotional health throughout a cancer journey. On July 20, 2017, at the age of 28, Rebecca was diagnosed with triple-positive (estrogen, progesterone, and HER2 positive), stage one, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma that was grade 3, meaning it was one of the more aggressive forms of breast cancer. The more she researched, read, and watched, the more she found out about the benefits of an integrative treatment route, one that combines treatments from both the alternative and conventional worlds. Once she listened to her body and her heart, both were telling her that her path was meant to be an integrative one. Once treatment was over and she reached a stable place with her health, she felt called to share her integrative healing route with others so that they may more easily find the tools, treatments, and lifestyle changes that she spent months discovering, and be inspired to find their own healing path. Through her business, Orenda Cancer Community, she shares all of her resources and research. She posts almost daily and covers topics from diet and nutrition to mental and emotional health, to new research, and more! Summer of 2019, she produced an interview series called Heal Your Spirit, Heal Your Body, all about supporting mental and emotional health after a cancer diagnosis. In the summer of 2020, she co-hosted and co-produced season one of imPOWERED, an online interview show that shares with the public valuable information from experts in the fields of health, wellness, and cancer care. And she is just about to release her first online course all about risk reduction after treatment is over to reduce your risk of recurrence or first-time occurrence.
