Chvrches are highly regarded for combining their indie roots with big pop melodies. But the pandemic presented the Scottish synth-pop trio with some tricky challenges when the time came to record “Screen Violence.” How well did the group overcome those hurdles, and were they able to maintain their kinetic sound with album number four?

Find out what Matt and Zach think in Epic Footnote Productions’ “2 Minutes to Review,” a podcast that’s part album review and part competition. In each episode, both hosts are given two minutes each to review a newly released album or a classic record they’re revisiting. Whoever gives the longest review in under two minutes wins.
