On paper, an Ozzy Osbourne solo album that enlists a slew of all-stars for guest appearances (including Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi, Jeff Beck, Eric Claption, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, Metallica’s Robert Trujillo, Zakk Wylde, Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan, and Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready… just to name a few) should be making massive fans like us bounce off the walls with joy… so why does “Patient Number 9” leave us feeling so underwhelmed. Are we expecting too much from the Prince of Darkness, or do we have every right to be disappointed with Ozzy’s latest effort (once again produced by Andrew Watt)?
