We took a solid week off and we’re not sorry. Also, for some reason I (Leanne) recorded this episode in a squeaky, possessed chair, for that I am sorry.

The things we cannot even

Jennie- Stranger Things on Netflix

Leanne- How much I love when my kids are can asleep so I realize their level of awesomeness.

10 Things We’ve Learned in 10 years of marriage

  1. You’re not always going to get along- you’re not actually one flesh, gross. So when needed, walk away. Just for a little bit until you can see the other person’s point.

  2. Make your home a safe place to be yourselves- except once a week where you have a festivus style airing of grievances, no feats of strength.

  3. Don’t let your kids ruin your sex life- sometimes we lock our door in the morning… to get to funkytown without making it feel like chore time.

  4. Believe the best in each other- Don’t assume every statement is loaded with snarky undertones.

  5. Communicate clearly- No passive aggressive games, but you can still tie your husband’s socks to the steering wheel, so it’s cool.

  6. Laugh & Have Fun- And definitely throw papaya at each other’s heads.

  7. Offer to help your partner before they ask- Take care of each other before it gets code red crazy.

  8. Don’t be afraid to go to counseling- You will pick up some valuable skills and helpful tips for working through anger and other issues.

  9. Be a team- Know what the other one is up to and play to your strengths and differences

  10. Try New Things Together- Adventure brings you together!

Recommendations From This Episode
