ってそれぞれ何分で違いはありますか？
こんな疑問に答えます。
アメリカ人いわく、
コーヒーをとりに違う部屋へ行くときは、
See you in a couple of minutes.
でも、近所にドーナツを買いに行って帰ってくるときは、
See you in a few minutes.
というくらいの時間差だそうです。
僕が文章で説明、アメリカ人には音声で説明してもらいます。

ちょっとした英語のニュアンスがわからないときはネイティブ・スピーカーに聞くのが一番ですよね。
もちろんネイティブ・スピーカーでも様々な暮らしをしてるのでニュアンスが違うと思うけど、それは誤差の範囲、間違いではありまません。
前回のInstagramライブでは、アメリカ人が教える、英語での挨拶（greeting phrases）でした。今回のInstagramライブではアメリカでよく使われる別れの挨拶を紹介します。

See you in a few minutes.
それと合わせて、See you in a few minutes.とSee you in a couple of minutes.の時間的ニュアンスの違いを説明してくれました。

whileは日本語で名詞だと「ちょっとの間」、接続詞だと「〜する間、〜しながら」という意味です。
See you in a whileは日本語で「あとでね」というように期間が定まっていません。
もう少し詳しく期間を強調するなら、
See you in a few minutes.
See you in a few hours.
See you in a few days.
See you in a few weeks.
例えば旅行にいくから次会うのは再来週だね！という場合はSee you in a few weeks.ということができます。See you in a few years.だって言えちゃいます。
See youの後ろにつけることで期間を表現できるのでSee you 〜は使いやすい別れの挨拶です。
同じように別れの挨拶で時間を表現するのに、こんな表現があります。
See you in a couple of minutes.
See you in a couple of hours.
coupleは日本語で2人で1組の意味ですがここではcouple of minutesで2~3分、couple of hours.で2〜3時間という意味になります。
そういうわけで、
See you in a couple of minutes.
じゃあ2~3分ねとなります。
See you in a couple of weeks.
See you in a couple of months.
という使い方もありますね。

laterは日本語で「後で」という意味ですがSee you later.はフレーズです。だからlaterという言葉ひとつに引っ張られすぎないように注意が必要です。
フレーズは全体でひとつの意味になると考えてください。
See you later.（またね）の使い方
I need to go home. See you later!
友だちとの別れの挨拶で使います。later（あとで）という単語が入っているけど、2時間、3時間後にすぐ友だちと会わなくても、一週間後であっても使って大丈夫。
