EUGENE HALLIDAY Podcast

Eugene begins by stating that his aim is: “to show that serial thinking has a very definite purpose of its own quite opposite to the simultaneous, Logos reasoning process.” Evolution has resulted in man having reached the level when he can think serially. We know that we come from the same protoplasm as all living things, back through the animals and plants, and that we share with them ‘irritability’. Man, in relation to the universe, is in a similar position to the phagocytes in our bloodstream who feed on bacteria there with no awareness of us as their larger universe. Similarly, the cells which repair an injury to the body have no concern for the owner of the body. They are simply doing what they have evolved to do. When we are children, we cannot yet discriminate between our waking consciousness and dream consciousness. That is, between objective and subjective reality. It is this difference between subjective being and objective experience which is the subject matter of this talk.

The substance of the universe is Sentient Power. All matter is simply an appearance of this power, which being sentient, can feel itself. We can demonstrate this in our own bodies: When we move a muscle, we can feel if it is contracted or extended; we have a power that can feel. This is “ a derivative talent from the Fundamental Field of Power that generated the Universe.”
We know from physics that higher-frequency energies can disrupt lower-frequency ones. e.g. A Laser beam can cut through most things; ultrasonic waves can ‘see’ inside our bodies. Similarly, if we sharpen our awareness, then we are using a higher frequency energy than when we are half-asleep. Consciousness can, because it is sentient, feel the rate of vibrations within itself.
The Absolute top consciousness, therefore, would be the highest frequency: Aleph (Alpha). But, with nothing at a higher frequency to observe it: “It is a Consciousness which has no observer of Itself.” “It is Pure Consciousness with no object.” “The feeling experience of this undulation would be identical with Itself.” So the Absolute has induced in Itself longer waves to produce a content of consciousness. The Absolute can now be aware of something other than Itself. This longer wave can now produce still longer ones, and so on. Each new wave has its own experience, its own feeling state, and is observing the levels below it, but these are not aware of the ones above. So the Aleph is aware of everything it has made simultaneously, but nothing it has made is aware of It.
