Secret groups and organizations have played a long role in the totality of human cultural history. Some were not-so-secret, but still possessed an elitist mindset in how they vetted their members. There is a basic human need to belong, to feel important and to be surrounded by like-minded individuals. The Hellfire Clubs were no exception to this rule. The name would make many think it to be a Satanic or Luciferian group, but in fact the Hellfire Clubs were more akin to libertine ideologies. Join us as we dive elbow deep into one of the most unknown secret societies in part one, of this two part series on the Hellfire Club.
