Rocky Athas is a Texas Blues legend who played w John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers for 8 years, has recorded w Buddy Miles, SRV's Double Trouble, Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple bass), Mick Taylor, Joe Walsh and others. He was also the lead guitar player for Black Oak Arkansas for 5 years, and has released 8 solo albums of his own.

Great stories about Rocky growing up with Stevie Ray Vaughan (simply called Steve back then)... playing with John Mayall, Mick Taylor & Glenn Hughes… really nice story about how Rocky dealt with his mom’s passing… the one critical component every song must have... great lesson for anyone early in their music career… and some great advice Rocky received from Joe Walsh & Leslie West...
