Welcome to Episode 12 of Expatlang's French podcast - Understand Native French.

In today's episode - READING IN FRENCH

Many people who are learning French would like to read more in French. Indeed, reading is an excellent way to improve your vocabulary or to put your French into practice.

But choosing the appropriate book to read in French isn't easy. Classic authors are generally hard to read and use a vocabulary that's not so useful on a daily basis. And comic books like Asterix or Tintin generally require deep cultural references to be understood.

Today, I've decided to give you a hand. I've had a chat with my friend Lea who works in a library. In today's episode, she suggests various books that are totally suitable to start reading in French. Listen to the episode to find out more about it.

In today's episode, we mention different books. Here are the references if you want to find them :

Corto Maltese - Par Hugo Pratt - Editions Casterman

La Dynastie Donald Duck - Editions Glénat

Mortelle Adèle - Par Mr Tan et miss Prickly - Editions Bayard Jeunesse

Cédric - Par Patrick Cauvin - Editions Dupuis

Pascal Brutal - Riad Sattouf - Editions Fluide Glacial

La Vie Secrète des Jeunes - Riad Sattouf - Editions l'Association

Les Cahiers d'Esther - Riad Sattouf - Allary Editions

If you want to know how to improve your French listening skills, Expatlang is the best podcast to learn French.

And a little bonus, if you want tips on how to improve your French pronunciation, you'll get a pronunciation exercise at the end of the episode.
