1 in 7 women in the US have faced Chronic Pelvic Pain (CPP) at some point in their lives. Yet, research shows that only one-third of these women seek out medical care.

CPP is underreported, stigmatized, and brushed under the rug in most societies. But, Alime is on a mission to change that.

In this episode, we sit down with Dr. Büyük and Dr. Shah on the importance of central sensitization in assessing pain, the critical role a pelvic floor physiotherapist plays in managing symptoms and the work Alime is doing in raising awareness in Turkey through her pub talks on sexual well-being.
