I was privileged to engage in a stimulating and thought-provoking podcast session with Ijeoma Ononogbu on Expert Views on ADR (EVA) Vid /Podcast Show. Ms Ononogbu has over fifteen (15) years of international legal experience from working with international law firms in London as a solicitor, specialising in commercial transactions and ADR processes in private practice. She serves as a CIArb Business Arbitration Scheme panel member. A Distinguished Neutral in a number of global panels, she writes for the Elgar Encyclopedia of International Economic Law on arbitration, mediation and negotiation. Also an advocate of Online Dispute Resolution and a Fellow of the National Centre for Technology and Dispute Resolution at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She wears many hats, so I left the link to her profile: https://uk.linkedin.com/in/ijeomaononogbu In this episode, we analysed the concept of arbitration, its types and key features. We delved into the various types of disputes that can be resolved through arbitration and examined the issue of corruption within arbitration. We also explored how arbitration has enhanced access to justice in the UK. This includes the initiatives of arbitral institutions to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and tackle cybersecurity concerns. Furthermore, we highlighted the impact of third-party funding on access to justice and the efficiency of settling disputes through arbitration compared to litigation. We also discussed the recently amended rules of the arbitral institutions aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of arbitration. Finally, Ije highlighted the positive career opportunities in the field of arbitration. #ADR #podcast #arbitration #mediation #negotiation #maritime #fellow #research #Massachusetts #CIArb #interview #odr #massadvocacyadr #Innovation #marketing #marketingadr #technology #digitaltechnology #pedagogy #researchmethods #elgar #solicitors #awareness #vousparlezadr #letsmakeadrgoviral #viral #uk #london #nigeria #unitedkingdom #england #wales #africa #southamerica #northamerica #latinamerican #caribbean #world #education #HR #highereducation #blogger #legalresearch #legaltech #diversity #inclusion #equity #University #schools #interview #accesstojustice #legal #civiljustice #reform #learningstyles #law #lawschool #talkshow
