Does A Course in Miracles have anything to say about politics? Some say no—it’s strictly about changing your own mind. Other say yes—it contains a vision for a new world based not on competition and materialism but on love and forgiveness. As a follow-up to the recent episode on Marianne Williamson’s campaign for the US presidency, Emily and Robert share their views on the Course’s relationship to politics. They explore at length four principles from the Course that could form the basis for a political vision and indeed for a new world. And they conclude by discussing a passage from the Course that describes a distant future in which material things are no longer valued, and instead, the whole world is united in perfecting forgiveness.
