Most of the world has been impacted by sports in some way. We might see them as a hobby, a passion, or a way to build character and learn teamwork.
But do they have the power to unite a country?
For business partners Maged Fawzy and Waseem Arsany, the answer is yes.
The two Egyptian leaders met through their church. Maged was doing sports ministry, and Waseem worked as a serial entrepreneur and investor.
Their worlds collided when Maged had the idea for Life Sports Club, a 25-acre, $60 million sports facility in New Cairo that will create opportunities for individuals and families to develop their minds, bodies, and hearts through the power of sports.
The facility is currently in the construction phase, but the two founders are excited to see how God will use it to bring together a diverse and growing population.
