Today's Devotion is "Telling the Next Generation of God's Truth" (Day 26 in our series 40 Days of Easter Truth)

Our Easter Focus Passage today is: Psalm 78:1-8

4 We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done.

7 Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands.

Now, here's today's Easter Truth:

Psalm 78 is a command to parents, churches, teachers, and all leaders of young people to ensure that the knowledge of God is taught to children and young adults. The need to be concerned about young people and the direction of their lives is great. God is not going to come down from Heaven and give all of His commandments over and over again to each new generation. In this passage, the children of Israel are promising to pass on what they have learned about God and from God to their children so they will be able to tell of the goodness of the Lord and put their trust in Him.
