Religion can be seen as both good and bad depending on who you ask. Jesus is harshest with those who are the most religious. Colossians 2:20-23 Jesus does for us what self-made religion never can. Self made Religion vs. Jesus Self made religion elevates behavior over being. Jesus elevates your identity over behavior. Self-made religion creates the illusion of change and focuses on control. Jesus changes us from the inside. Good News: I know what's wrong, you need a heart transplant. Bad News: I can't fix it and neither can you. Mark 2:17 "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick do. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."
