The Yard can be defined as the main quad of open space located on the Campus of Howard University. However, the Yards' definition can not be limited to a location on a map, because it is so much more. The Yard is a marketplace of ideas that becomes a spiritual place embedded within our souls that shapes our thoughts, ideas, and actions as we mature into adulthood. Family Abides' version of the yard seeks to cultivate a similar environment where a Husband and Wife discuss Faith, Family, and Finance and the intersectionality of all three.
On this platform, we will discuss how our values shape our interaction with the culture. Give you insight into our productive struggle of melding two different upbringing into one cohesive unit for our children, and try not to tap dance around current topics that impact our household. These conversations are had with @charitys.notes and @familyabide and you can follow them on all your major social media networks to get more detail.
The topic for today's Episode is Driven or Depleted and how to navigate one's expectations versus actual experiences, especially with Money, Marriage, and Motherhood.
