Woohoo, it’s Friday! Time for a new episode of everybody’s favourite (citation needed) Beatles podcast, Fans On The Run!

Joining me today for what is now the longest single part episode of the show, is a member of the tribute band BeatleBeat, and veteran of the Floridian Beatles tribute scene, Charlie De Cosa! We talk about a lot of things in this episode, like we really cover a lot of ground. We talk about not getting used to hearing Sgt. Pepper with pops or crackles, reflecting on purging a vinyl collection back in the era of CDs, a brief lesson on the history of NRBQ, the scattered re-runs of The Beatles cartoon in the Eighties, ‘Kiss Meets The Phantom Of The Park’, learning to love your Höfner, separating the art from the artist, guilty pleasure bands, cheating in Nickelodeon phone-in competitions, the mystical world of Parrothead-ism, the stereotype of the “florida man”, the chaotic nature of The Who’s early music videos, and for the first time in the show’s history, a joke so offensive I had to bleep it out.

This episode is available to stream everywhere good podcasts can be heard!

Keep up with Charlie and BeatleBeat!
