Despite it being against all odds and expectations, due to being born with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, Emma learned to walk. Not only did she manage this, but she went on to win gold representing Great Britain at Para Dressage.

The title of her book is “There’s No Such Word As Can’t” and she really is a living inspiration on how to find your own way through a difficult situation, and never giving up. Today she shares what has inspired her amazing journey.

Click play now to hear how she managed to bounce back from her sporting career being cut short, to become an inspirational Tedx speaker. Emma also shares with us her love of animals, and her passion for improving disability awareness.

“I look up to quite a few people, quite a few people with disabilities, whether they be athletes or comedians, I’m a big fan of Rosie Jones the comedian, anyone with a disability that puts themselves out there, who follows their dreams and ambitions, and works hard - because at the same time as doing what they love to do, by being out there, they are also being an advocate for people with disabilities.” Emma Sheardown
