Toni Boger has known Allyson for a decade and is thrilled to be invited to be part of this bomb-ass podcast. Living with type 1 diabetes since she was 9 years old, Toni has watched in horror as the insulin price gouging crisis has needlessly hospitalized and killed fellow people with diabetes over the past decade, so she decided to get involved. She supports anyone who's bringing awareness to this issue, and she's trying to use her stubbornness and voice to lead to change. She recommends checking out T1 International for more information about the insulin price gouging crisis and how to help. She specifically recommends T1 International because they don't accept funding from the pharmaceutical companies that needlessly started this crisis out of greed, or any other institutions that could affect the way T1 International does their important work. In addition to fighting for her fellow people with diabetes from a distance, Toni has spent this time during the pandemic doing yoga and jumping on her rebounder for her sanity, reading good books, learning how to paint for the first time since grade school, completing hilarious cross stitch patterns she finds on Etsy, and watching Turner Classic Movies all the time. (She's not kidding, she watches TCM all. the. time.)
