Siwani is the brainchild that was produced over an evolution of ideas. It all emanated from Gullah and GeeChee culture. During covid Camylle began to study the culture and her connection to the people and her ancestry. She also discovered whiskey, in particular, rice whiskey. She pondered "What if there was a rice spirit made from Carolina Gold Rice"? Camylle does have distilling in her blood. Through her relationship and partnerships in the craft industry she has been able to bring Siwani Spirit to life.
