Art Brown Pt. 1 Art most recently served as an Executive Producer / Show Runners on DRAGONS: RACE TO THE EDGE for DreamWorks Animation. Total production for the series was 119 episodes on both Cartoon Network and streaming on Netflix. DRAGONS is, to this day, DreamWorks’ most successful animated TV series, honored by both critics and fans alike. It has received Six Emmy nominations with one win, multiple Annie nominations and wins, multiple Kidscreen awards and was nominated for the Saturn Award alongside GAME OF THRONES, JESSICA JONES, BOSCH and DAREDEVIL. It was the only family series to be recognized. Art also wrote and produced a movie for Nickelodeon Television entitled THE BOY WHO CRIED WEREWOLF, starring Brooke Shields and Victoria Justice. That film went on to win the DGA award for best Children’s program and was nominated for several other awards including a WGA nomination for Art. At its release, it was the most successful movie in Nick history. Art began his career by writing and co-producing the feature film, BEST MEN, which starred Drew Barrymore, Dean Cain, Luke Wilson and Andy Dick. He went on to write, THE DOUGHBOYS, for Robert Simonds and Universal Studios and, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, also for Universal. Soon thereafter, Art was brought on by Warner Brothers and Flower Films to write, SURRENDER DOROTHY, the sequel to THE WIZARD OF OZ. Drew Barrymore is currently attached to direct.
