Filth & Pleasure; A.K.A Paul ‘Geeza’ Robertson and Craig Paxton, are Perth based but hail from London and Edinburgh respectively. Championing a more groove-lead, upbeat house & techno sound, they are heavily influenced by the likes of Mark Knight, Enrico Sangiuliano, Solardo, Camelphat, Tuff London, PAX, Eli Brown, Sam Paganini, Victor Ruiz, Carl Cox, Jon Rundell and Matador to name a few. Having recently started up their own label – Filthy Beats Digital ( the boys have a stacked release schedule well in to 2019, with 10 of their original productions and remixes from the likes of scene heavyweights Skapes, Ben Coda and DJ Snake from SA. Paul and Craig started DJ’ing together back in 2001, regular features on the London party circuit, playing at squat raves, outdoor forest parties and eventually in to the more established club scene. Their first ‘promoter booking’ was supporting Fergie – of BCC Radio 1 fame, on a boat cruise to Germany. Thereafter the boys could regularly be found playing at the likes of Brixton Academy, Camden Palace, The Fridge, Shepherds Bush Empire, Turnmills and Ministry of Sound. Early forays in to the studio saw some of their productions reach number 1 in both the Beatport and Trackitdown charts. They earned a reputation for their high-energy sets, always building the crowd in to a frenzy, eventually securing themselves regular gigs in Ibiza over a number of seasons, culminating in a mainroom set at Es Paradis. Since moving to Australia, their sound has refined and matured to that which you hear today. Regular features on the Perth party circuit have seen them play sets at local gigs such as the legendary Fine Art @ Geisha, MVMNT @ Flyrite, Glass House, Sunsetz Events, on the infamous Groove Ryderz boat parties, as well as Gilkison’s, Fevah in Melbourne, and their annual residency playing mammoth, extended sets for God Said No at WA’s regional Burning Man event – Blazing Swan. Also a regular feature on the Perth Bush Doof circuit, the guys have secured bookings for the likes of Fireworld, Earthdance and Summer Loving. Studio sessions have so far proved very successful with the launch of their label – Filthy Beats Digital receiving rave reviews and featuring remixes from scene heavyweights Skapes and Ben Coda. In the last 12 months their 'A Taste of Pleasure EP' was released on Build It Records featuring two epic tracks in 'Synesthesia' and 'It's About Time'. Their first two releases - 'Be Water' and 'Love Parade' were signed to up and coming UK House & Techno label Freakin 909 - and both ‘Atmosphere’ and 'Pump Up The Jam' were released on Brazilian label Speedsound Records - Techno track 'I Am' came out on KOT (Keep On Techno) with a couple or remixes from label head honcho - Ray Marshall, and the talented Dutchman – Ed Beukers, and recently went to Number 1 in the KOT all time release charts.
