In this third message from Habakkuk, there is a poetic series of 5 -woes-. Each of the first 4 woes has a reason stated for the woe maked with -for.- In the middle of these woes is a passage asserting God's glory. The woes also end with a reminder that God is in His temple. Essentially, even in times when God is judging a nation, God is in the midst of the judgment and offering hope to believers that He is still in control and still worthy of worship. Pastor Robert Rohlin is the executive pastor at First Baptist Church Las Coilnas in Irving Texas -- a family integrated church in the Baptist Missionary Association.
