Today is World Ranger Day, a day dedicated to honouring brave men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our planet's natural and cultural heritage. The Day is observed annually on the 31st of July - to honour the many rangers who have been killed or injured in the line of duty, battling poachers daily to safeguard endangered species like rhinos and abalone.
