The meeting was underway when a small group barged in and asked everybody to leave. § Look like - To seem / To be similar to ? It looks like we'll have a rainy weekend, don't you think? ? She looks a lot like her parents, both in appearance and personality. § Look after - To take care of ? I asked my friend to look after my cats during my trip next week. § To be pissed off - To be annoyed / angry ? She got pissed off with all the jokes and left the place. § To be fed up - To be annoyed / Tired / ? After many days studying the same topic, he got fed up and took a break. § Give up - To surrender ? Many people think surrender is a sign of weakness, but giving up requires a lot of strength. § Call off - To cancel ? I'm sorry to call you on such short notice, but we'll need to call off our meeting today. Let's get back in touch tomorrow, ok? § Run away - To escape ?
