After a few weeks off, For Pete's Sake returned to MESN Radio on November 1st. In episode 21, Pete Solari discusses the ongoing protests around the NFL. At this point, the players are just being disingenuous. Do the Houston Texans really expect us to believe that, A)they took team owner Bob McNair's "inmates running the prison" comments literally, and B) they were offended by them? As NFL players continue to drift further away from reality, it's really no wonder why the league's popularity (and TV ratings) are plummeting. Furthermore, why is the media being complicit in furthering the players' bogus narrative? Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett was caught flat-out lying about treatment he received from Las Vegas police. So why isn't the mainstream media telling you this, and why are they lauding Bennett as a hero, instead of accurately labeling him a fraud? And coming off the bye-week, the New York Giants return in week 9 to host the Rams. But who are they kidding? The season is over, and the team would be better-off vying for a top-5 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. With this in mind, the New York sports media can't refrain from blaming Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. for all the team's problems. Pete explains how truly misguided this line of thinking is, as holes on the Giants' offensive line (and the refusal of those inside and outside of the organization to acknowledge as much) has been hindering the team for years.
