Matt Friedman is a leading global expert on modern slavery and human trafficking with more than 35 years of experience. He is the founder and CEO of The Mekong Club, one of the first international not-for-profit organizations of its kind based in Asia to use a ‘business-to-business’ approach to fight slavery. He is bridging the gap between the public and private sectors by helping companies of all sizes to understand the complexities of human trafficking and to reduce their vulnerability within their supply chains/business environment. Captains of industry consider Matt to be the leading catalyst of the anti-slavery movement in Asia’s business sector. Matt is also an award-winning public speaker, author, filmmaker, and philanthropist. He believes that the collective actions of ordinary people have the greatest chance of effecting a real transformation.
