What does wisdom look like to you? Would you say you are a person of wisdom? How do you know? These are going to be a few of the questions we ask on Sunday as we finish out the third chapter in James' letter to the church. In this section, he is contrasting human wisdom with the wisdom God gives to us. It is important that we are able to tell the difference between the two, as they are not the same. In this section, there are no word pictures to look at, which might have helped us. However, there are words that are alive and jump off the page at us and we want to think about them. This week, you might want to reflect on what true wisdom is. . .and why it matters to those who trust in Christ. This Sunday, we will also have an update from the children's programs at CDCC. This ministry, begun in 1963, has loved so many people in the name of Jesus. Just this week, I had someone in my office who grew up coming to our preschool. Now an adult, they came back to seek the Lord in the place where it felt safe to them. We praise the Lord how He calls all people to Himself. Let us pray for the work God has given us to do. I hope to see you all on Sunday, where God will meet us to give us His life. - Pastor Colleen
