The brothers continue the series of evangelism by discussing how the law is used and needed while sharing the gospel. As we discussed in episode one about the condition of mankind that before one is born again they are dead in their sin (Ephesians 2:5). We need to introduce the law to show us that we are sinners, guilty before a Perfect, Righteous Judge God Almighty. (Romans 3:19-20, 5:20-21, 7:7-12;
Galatians 3:24). Praise God for His law, praise God for His Son, Praise God for His Holy Spirit. It is by Gods grace and mercy that He has given us His law to show us we are in need of a Savior, and by providing His Son as a ransom for many...(Isaiah 53:10-12; Mark 10:45).
Dr. John MacArthur writes "Grace means nothing to a person who does not know he is sinful and that such sinfulness means he is separated from God and damned. It is therefore pointless to preach grace until the impossible demands of the Law and the reality of guilt before God are preached."
Also check out this quote from Charles Spurgeon.
Charles Spurgeon writes "I do not believe that any man can preach the gospel who does not preach the law."
