In the anthropological discourse on crisis Henrik Vigh is an important voice that redirects our short span of attention from the spectacularity of single events to the endring chronicity of crisis and it`s effects on individuals that have to navigate in conditions of uncertainty. This interview should serve as an invitation to join his lecture titled "Social Chronicity Revisited" about the Anthropology of Crisis on Monday the 24th of June, 17:00, at the University of Leipzig (Hörsaal 10). In our conversation we touched upon his concepts of Crisis and Chronicity as well as his longterm fieldwork that followed young men of the Aguenta militias in Guinea-Bissau`s conflicts and small cocaine dealers in Lisbon, Portugal. His publications are occupied with the effects that enduring crisis has on the practices and habituations of the affected.
