Das Outs:de-Festival war 2020 eines der außergewöhnlichsten Veranstaltungsprojekte in Leipzig. Mithilfe der Initiativen DasIstLeipzig, Leipzig plus Kultur, Kreatives Leipzig e.V. und LiveKommbinat Leipzig e.V. beschloss der Stadtrat ein Budget von 200.000 Euro; elf Clubs und Livespielstätten organisierten ein fünfwöchiges Programm auf der Leipziger Festwiese.
