Same old situation? We hope not… Its Episode 141 – Gerber, Danko and (long time listener, first time caller) Chuck are back after a break to talk sports and more in the Land. Due to hardware issues, Chuck checks in on his iPhone and the Guys start the show at home with a recap of demoralizing, but, not entirely unexpected loss to the Ravens. The Guys discuss the impact of not having a franchise quarterback for the game, the impact of the loss on Browns’ fan psychology and the impact good punting. The Guys also take some time to reminisce about Terry Francona’s time managing the Guardians as the season comes to a close with a loss in Detroit. On the Road (17:13), the Guys start in the NFL and celebrate a big Lions win on Thursday night, debate the biggest win of this NFL Sunday and try to figure out the 2-2 logjam in the AFC South. The Guys move on for some Fall Hot Shots and discuss highly anticipated (?) USFL and XFL merger, a blowout at the Ryder Cup and the impact of Portland’s recent trades on the NBA Eastern Conference. Off the Field (33:35), the Guys dive into the random topics of a From the Land Grab Bag. The Guys spend the rest of the evening talking the impact of beer on life expectancy and the dumb end of Winning Time. The Guys also look back on Tupac’s death as news of an arrest in Las Vegas was announced this week before checking in on the best way ever to spend lottery winnings, some Cleveland community news and the best new rock songs by artists over 70 (or 80) in the last week. Stick around after the close music (53:54) for the outtakes, more Browns and instant reactions to the Jets v. the Chiefs.

Errors – Chuck said the Browns needed to do more to convince him they had a chance to win the AL Central. The Twins clinched that a while back and the Browns don’t even play baseball.
