James Meredith is a Civil Rights Icon who can be found in history books across the US and the World. He was the first African-American admitted to Ole Miss and was shot and wounded on a solo march from Memphis, TN to Jackson, MS. His son, John, had a front row view. Growing up in Jim Crow Georgia, John saw his Dad's work and The Civil Rights Movement up close. In this season finale of From The Shadow, we talk growing up with expectations, the cost of a quality education, play dates with Muhammad Ali, and blazing your own trail.
