Michelle Owen is joined by Harriet Drudge, Steph Yang and Michael Cox to reflect on the seventeenth day of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.

Spain put a shaky end to their group stage behind them to thrash Switzerland 5-1 and book their place in the last eight.

The Athletic’s Laia Cervello Herrero was at Eden Park in Auckland / Tāmaki Makaurau and sent us her thoughts just after the final whistle.

Japan continued their impressive form in this Women’s World Cup, putting in another statement performance by knocking out Norway 3-1 to reach the quarter finals.

We also look ahead to tomorrow’s last 16 ties: The Netherlands vs South Africa and Sweden vs the USA.

Producer: Steve Hankey

Executive Producer: Abi Paterson
