Esteve no Iraque, Síria e Iémen.

[English]

Saleem Haddad worked as a researcher and mediator for international organizations in Muslim-majority countries after September 11. He was in Iraq, Syria and Yemen. He worked on the contexts of Somalia, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Until he began to question the principle of neutrality that guided that action: "It's not a neutral act when you see where the money comes from and who makes the decisions."

This interview is in English, but the introduction is in Portuguese.

With journalist Rafaela Cortez, we're writing a three-part series on the international aid industry in Palestine that will go into detail on much of what you'll hear here. If you want to follow the progress of this work, click here.
