Ashish Ranjan Jha has studied from IIT Kharagpur and is working as a Data Scientist in Bangalore. He has authored a book and many short stories. In this podcast episode, we are having a conversation with him on his book 'Barsi hai Ganga'. He started writing Barsee hai Ganga in 2012 and then by 2020, the e-book version is published on Juggernaut Books and Paperback is available on Hindi Sahitya Sadan. The book is based on the life of a boy Mithiya, who lives in Jharkhand, and how his life is dependent upon a river. Because of the floods, everybody leaves the village leaving Mihiya behind. From there his journey starts on finding truth of the life. He traveled long searching for his cause following the imprints of Lord Buddha. In his way, many people became his disciples. In the world full of chaos, Mithiya is there only hope who will guide them towards the path of truth. The book is the portray of the present time and has been very effective in telling the importance of rivers and water. The analogy between the river and our life is mindboggling.
