สหรัฐฯ เข้าใกล้การแบน TikTok ไปอีกขั้นหนึ่ง หลังจากที่สภาผู้แทนราษฎรผ่านร่างกฎหมายเมื่อวันพุธ เรียกร้องให้ ByteDance ผู้พัฒนาแอปชาวจีนขายกิจการหรือนำแอปของตนเองออกจาก App Store ของสหรัฐฯ

ร่างกฎหมายใหม่นี้ผ่านด้วยการสนับสนุนอย่างล้นหลามของทั้งสองฝ่าย (รีพับรีกันและเดโมแครต) โดยได้รับคะแนนเสียงเห็นชอบ 352 เสียง และมีเพียง 65 เสียงที่คัดค้าน
