Over the weekend, Elliotte Friedman reported that the Habs are close to an extension with Samuel Montembeault. Is this the right choice? What is the right cap hit and term for him? And does this mean that Allen or Primeau are on the move? Slafkovsky has been playing well. Despite his low numbers on his stat sheet, his advanced analytics show that he is progressing and doing well. We have seen a difference in him since being paired with Dvorak. We do think that he would look even better next to Monahan. Is it time to break up the Monahan, Pearson, and Gallagher line and pair Monahan with Slafkovsky?
