Members Reviews: Great read - great writing. I enjoyed this book - it is well-written and the story was full of wit and surprise. If you like Carl Hiaasen, you will like this book - similar wit but more true to life than satirical. If you like stories with uncommon characters, emotional plot twists, and a satisfying ending, you will like this book. It takes place in the DC area as well as Virginia horse country and Florida, doing a great job of evoking the unique features of each of these places. It was a story that really stuck with me - I recommend it. A Fun Read This was an engaging tale with fun little twists to it. Each character was clearly defined, and for the most part, the story was believable. It's fiction, so that doesn't really matter, except that I find fiction more believable if plausible. There are few likable characters, but disliking them is part of the fun. It's a good easy read, entertaining, and only around 300 pages.
