This week's edition of Ghana in Focus continues our series looking at tourism in Ghana.
We take a look at the second city of Ghana and cultural centre , Kumasi.
Kumasi is a 5 hour drive from the capital Accra and about 45 minutes by plane.
We give a lowdown on some of the MUST SEE places to visit during your stay in Kumasi including a MUST see visit to the Akwasidae grand durbar of the Asantes where the Asantehene ( King of the Asante people/nation) outdoors his splendid regalia including the famous Sikadwakofi (The Golden Stool). The next Akwasidae is the 16th July.
