What would passing a federal Transgender Bill of Rights look like? How would it work? What does the current federal landscape look like for legislation like this? These questions, along with a look at what LGBTQ+ protections are being considered at the federal level are answered in this week’s episode with special guest, Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal. In our discussion, we also put eyeballs on the Senate and their love for the filibuster – perhaps we’ll do a follow up on the filibuster altogether… Alas, this episode puts an important lens on the need for federal civil rights protections for the transgender community and beyond.
