Learning another language as a child can open up so many future opportunities.

Hugh Yao, husband, father, and LingoAce Founder and CEO, joins the Glowing Up Asian podcast to share his glow up origin story: how he started learning English at 12 years old and how that propelled him into an international career throughout Asia. He would eventually launch LingoAce, a global edtech company headquartered in Singapore that’s innovating the way children learn languages and other subjects. In serving students in more than 100 countries, Hugh shares his observations of Asian and Western-style education and parenting and helps deconstruct why many Asian parents place such a heavy emphasis on test scores and getting into a good college. He also shares his personal experience working at multinational companies early in his career and how learning to embrace both Asian and Western cultures and workplace expectations helped him build a successful global company.
Glowing Up Asian is produced by LingoAce, a global edtech company serving students in more than 100 countries around the world. With its award-winning online learning platform, children can learn from the best – no matter where they live.
