Our journey into awareness about food insecurity has led us to reflect on our own experiences. We share the ways that government programs have helped our families to keep moving up and yet we also have to reckon with the shaming that has been attached to those times of need. We have both done a lot of reflection on how we move throughout our daily lives and the big and small ways that we’ve absorbed messages about the poor and poverty. We aim to be better stewards of the abundance we’ve been given. We hope you’ll share your own thoughts and feelings with us. Have you found these episodes to be challenging? Has your perspective changed at all? Stick with us because we’ve got more compelling information to share.
